Nix Nail Fungus

Toe fungus isn’t pretty, and it isn’t something people like to talk about, but if you’re suffering from it, it’s important to get help. Toe fungus will only get worse with time if left untreated. Plus, there’s no reason to suffer and be embarrassed, not when laser toe fungus removal procedures are so readily available.

Only a professional can diagnose whether or not you’ve actually got a case of toe fungus, but the signs tend to be fairly obvious. Infected toenails may appear thick or brittle and are often distorted in shape. They can take on a dulled, lusterless color or a dark color, depending on the severity of the condition, and the fungus will often cause the toenails to crumble.

If you’ve got toenail fungus, don’t be embarrassed; many people suffer from this problem, and it’s not your fault. Instead, simply seek out laser toe fungus removal services. In Denver, you can turn to Studio Urban Wax to get the job done.

Tips for Looking Younger

Would you like to look younger? Who wouldn’t, right? If you’re trying to stave away the years, the first rule of thumb is to eat well, get plenty of exercise, and avoid excess tanning. In short, take care of yourself; how you treat yourself will eventually show on your face and body, so you’ll want to be as gentle and kind to yourself as you possibly can be!

Another very important thing you can do is to have a good skin care routine. You should be washing your face daily with an exfoliating scrub, and you should definitely be moisturizing each and every day. Regular facials and other skin treatments can take fill in the gaps where your at-home skin care routine is lacking.

Nap Know-How

Are you feeling tired? If so, then feeling better and more alert may be as simple as taking a quick power nap! Researchers have recently determined that a quick, effective ten to twenty minute nap can reload a person’s energy and enable him or her to get back to work without a problem. Of course, a small burst of sleep isn’t going to have the exact same effects as a longer amount.

Researchers found that those who were too tired to function at maximum capacity may have recovered energy after a twenty minute snooze, but didn’t really improve in terms of memory, cognitive processing, or overall mental speed. To improve in those areas, a nap of at least an hour was needed, researchers found.

The good news is that napping can happen anywhere—at your desk or, preferably, in your nice, comfortable bed. You can even nap outside; just make sure you’re out of direct sunlight and, even then, that you wear sun block. Otherwise you could find yourself worrying about sun spot removal and skin cancer, and having to deal with the threat of cancer and sun spot removal is a whole lot worse than simply feeling tired! #SunSpotRemovalDenver

Being a Better, More Beautiful You!

The average American wants two things: to look his or her very best, and to be healthy. Fortunately, there are a few things out there that can help Americans to achieve both these goals; exercise is one of them, and then certain, key “superfoods” are the other. And, the good news is that, when diet and exercise aren’t enough to give a person his or her desired look, there are safe, medical treatments available these days, such as laser resurfacing.

Laser resurfacing, which can remove fine lines and wrinkles, is a great option for looking younger and healthier. What’s more is that, by eating some of the known “super foods” you can increase the results of your resurfacing session and continue to look your best for years to come.

So, what are some foods that top the list? Well, beans, broccoli, blueberries, pumpkin, yogurt, and walnut are definitely good choices, and there are many others too. Out with the Old, In with the New

Fall is fast approaching, and with the season comes a sense of newness, of hope, and of fresh beginnings. If you’re ready to ditch some of the “old” this fall season, why not start by cleaning out clutter in your home or apartment, especially in your closet? Clutter experts recommend a good de-cluttering session at least once per year, one in which you toss items you don’t need or use to make way for fabulous new ones. If parting with belongings is difficult for you, simply divide “clutter” items into three piles: one of items to keep, one of items to trash, and one of items to sell and/or give away. With this method, you’ll be done de-cluttering in no time!

And, once you’ve done away with those old items you no longer need or want, why not take a new step in your skin care regimen? Believe it or not, skin care should change with the seasons too, and the dryer, colder fall air provides the perfect reason to get a good protective, moisturizing facial. You can book your facial—perhaps even as a post-cleaning reward—at Studio Urban Wax in Denver at anytime! #DenverFacial #DenverSkinCare

Tips for a Gorgeous You!

Do you want to look as gorgeous as you possibly can? Of course you do, and a gorgeous you means luscious, shining tresses and a youthful, vibrant, wrinkle-free face. The “luscious” hair part of the equation is easy; the trick to having healthy, beautiful hair is all in how you wash your tresses! You should always, for example, thoroughly massage your scalp when you shampoo. This will send the blood flowing right to those hair follicles and will stimulate the hair to grow while washing away dead, dry scalp flakes in the process. Keep in mind, as you wash, that hair is especially fragile when wet so you’ll want to handle it with care to avoid split ends, frizz, and other unsightly problems.

Once you’ve got lovely, shining hair, it’s time to take your face to the next level too.dry skin, and getting rid of that skin and revealing the beautiful you underneath is easy with a chemical peel. Just remember that you may have some temporary redness after your chemical peel, so you probably won’t want to plan it right before a big event.
You can bring out the radiance in your face by getting rid of old, dead,

Fall into Fall!

It’s hard to believe, but summer has passed, and beautiful fall, with its crisp, cool air, is well on its way. If you’re ready to welcome the autumn season, why not do so by adding some fun fall colors to your wardrobe? Rich, acorn-hued browns are big this season and will look particularly good on those with warmer coloring. get airbrush tanning done year round in the city!
Don’t worry if that “warmer coloring” doesn’t come naturally, either; you can still

Another color that you’ll be seeing a lot of this fall season is a gentle, almost-icy blue gray. This muted color will be seen in everything from fashions to nail polish in the coming season and, like the acorn-inspired browns mentioned above, looks great on those who’ve spent a little time at an airbrush tanning session.

Setting and Reaching Weight Loss Goals

Losing weight is a goal that many people set for themselves, but unfortunately, it’s also a goal that most people don’t actually meet. Losing weight and making healthy food choices is difficult—difficult but not impossible. However, most people just don’t want the weight loss badly enough to stick to their diet and exercise plans, or they have an unrealistic diet and/or exercise plan that causes them to get burnt out and give up. That’s the first thing to keep in mind if you’re serious about losing weight: you have to set realistic goals.

Secondly, remember that, just because you’ve given up some of your favorite food treats doesn’t mean you have to stop indulging yourself. Go and have a laser hair removal session done to get rid of unwanted hair. Book a massage at the local spa or go and get a facial. You’ll find that if you’re good to yourself, you won’t feel as deprived by the food you can’t have, making reaching your weight loss goals easier.

Setbacks will happen along the way to weight loss too, but don’t be discouraged. Just keep being good to yourself and try again! To book a laser hair removal session as a “reward” or as a “get back on track” incentive, contact Studio Urban Wax of Denver.  #DenverLaserHairRemoval

Why Are You Working Out?

Have you recently adopted a new diet and/or fitness regimen? If you answered yes to that question, why? Are you trying to lose weight and/or tone up for a special event or to look better in a bikini? While there’s certainly nothing wrong with having goals such as these, it’s important to remember that your overall goal—the one you strive for above all else—should be to be healthy. It’s all well and good to look “thin” and “toned,” but being healthy and fit is the most important thing of all.

In fact, focusing too hard on hitting a certain weight number or getting a “perfect” body part can be detrimental to your health and self-esteem, especially if you don’t get the exact results you want. Instead, it’s wise to set goals pertaining to health, not looks—goals like “not eating any junk food for the week” or “cutting out sugary sodas.” When you make good on a healthy goal, you can always reward yourself too!
You could get a pedicure or even a facial waxing or other hair removal session to help you look and feel your very best.

Plan ahead for success by booking your “reward” facial waxing session at Studio Urban Wax of Denver. #Denverfacialwaxing  #DenverHairRemoval

Keeping Hair Healthy

English: A comparison photo of a males chest w...

It used to be that only women talked about (or seemed to care about) hair care. Nowadays, though, everyone is being more vocal about wanting to look his or her best, and yes, that extends to the men folk! If you’re a guy who is hoping to liven up your locks and achieve gorgeous hair, keep a few simple tips in mind. One tip that might just surprise you, for example, is to stop washing your hair daily! While it’s always good to keep hair clean, washing too frequently can lead to dry, damaged hair; a thorough hair wash every other day should suffice.

And what’s a man to do about the hair that’s not on his head? Well, what a person does with body hair is really all about preference. Some men are big believers in waxing for men, while others steer clear of the waxing salon at all costs. Keep in mind, however, that waxing for men can be incredibly beneficial; men who wax get to control how much or how little hair they want left behind, and they’re always left with smooth, soft, supple skin.

Long Locks are the Key to a Youthful Appearance

What makes a person look young? While you might think the answer is a youthful, wrinkle-free face or a toned, tight body, the answer may be more basic (and a whole lot easier to achieve!) than you realize. When asked what made women look young, men polled routinely confessed that long locks were what made a woman seem youthful.
These results aren’t intended to say, of course, that you can’t take advantage of laser services to send the wrinkles packing or that you don’t need to engage in other beauty treatments at your local medical spa—both of these things can go a long way in  helping you look and feel your best. What you should take away from these results, however, is that long, lush hair may be just the style you’re looking for if you want to give off young, fun vibe, so put those scissors down and start growing out that mane!

To complement your long hair and youthful appearance, why not stop by Studio Urban Wax for some great, age-defying laser services? #DenverLaserServices  #DenverMedicalSpa

Wonderful Waxing Tips!

So, you’re ready to hit the beach or the pool but you need a bikini wax first! Whether you’re a guy opting for his first Speedo wax or someone ready to take the plunge with a full-on Brazilian wax, there are some tips to keep in mind.

Though waxing is an easy, effective, and quick way to remove hair, it can sometimes be uncomfortable, especially if you’re not used to it. To reduce any pain or discomfort during and after your bikini wax, consider taking an over-the-counter pain medication about half an hour before you go in for your session. That way, if any discomfort is going to occur, you’ll be able to nip it in the bud before it starts!

When you know you’re going to wax, you may also want to avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, energy drinks, sodas, and anything else that contains caffeine. Both alcohol and caffeine can make waxing more painful for some individuals.

If you need more tips on getting ready to wax or if you just want to learn more about how the procedure is performed, contact Studio Urban Wax in Denver.

Waxing Preparation Tips

Are you in need of a wax to remove unwanted hair? If so, there are a few things you should keep in mind before heading to your waxing session. First and foremost, if you’re about to embark on your first experience with body waxing, make sure you don’t have some major party or other special event to go to right after your session. While essentially any wax procedure will leave the waxed site red and irritated for a little while following the treatment, some first-timers actually have very negative (and noticeable!) reactions, so it’s a good idea to give waxing a few tries before wearing it out on the town.

It’s also not smart to go in for a waxing session if you’ve recently had some kind of skin treatment performed. Your skin can only take so much, and if you’re just had a facial, a chemical peel, or some other invasive treatment, it’s a good idea to give your skin a break before waxing.

Understanding Microdermabrasion

Chances are, you’ve heard of microdermabrasion. After all, it’s all the rage right now, with many celebrities and other high-profile individuals talking about its benefits. If you don’t know exactly what microdermabrasion is, however, it’s important to educate yourself before you give it a try! It’s not just one procedure; instead, it’s actually utilized in a number of different procedures. Anytime you are using a rough substance, such as sand or a grain, to remove old, dead layers of skin and reveal the fresh, healthy layers underneath, it counts as microdermabrasion. So, if you use a body or face scrub with little beads in it, that’s microdermabrasion!

Of course, the microdermabrasion you’re doing at home isn’t nearly as precise as the kind you’d get in a salon. If you want to experience true results and to see what all the celebrities are raving about, check out Studio Urban Wax in Denver.

Tips for Beautiful Eye Makeup

If you want beautiful eye makeup, then you have to understand that it’s all in the preparation! Start by cleaning your face, including the eyes, to remove excess oil and dirt. Once your face is squeaky clean, you can apply a nice, light foundation. After you’ve got a prime working surface, study your face in the mirror in order to expertly apply your eyeliner. Of course, if you want a sexier, smokier look, you can be less-perfect and allow the liner to smudge ever-so-slightly. After your liner is on, use one shade of eye shadow or a few shades of complementary shadow to bring your eye makeup to life and really make it pop.

Remember, when you go for dramatic eyes, you don’t need to use as much product on the rest of the face, so avoid excessive blush or lipstick, which, when combined with overstated eyes, can make you appear clown-like. And, definitely make sure your eyelashes and eyebrows match your hair color! If they don’t, check out eyelash tinting services, available from Studio Urban Wax in Denver.

Understanding Toe Fungus

You protect your body from all types of illnesses and conditions, but chances are you’ve never thought to protect your toes! Well, believe it or not your toes—and more specifically, your toenails—do need a little bit of help! It is not at all uncommon for people to develop toenail fungus. This fungal infection crops up in people for a variety of reasons, but one of the most common is simply because the tight, warm, wet environment inside of a person’s shoe is the perfect breeding ground for the fungus. Once fungus has developed, the fungus feeds on the toenail and can cause discoloration and a host of other less-than-pleasant problems.

If you think you may have developed toe fungus, it’s important to determine what caused your toe fungus so that you can keep it from coming back in the future. Fortunately, you can get rid of the fungus and its effects with laser toe fungus removal services. For laser toe fungus removal in Denver, contact Studio Urban Wax.

Avoiding Varicose Veins

Everyone knows that varicose veins are not pleasant to look at. Plus, they can also be uncomfortable! If you don’t yet have this unfortunate condition, know that you don’t have to! There are many ways that you can avoid developing varicose veins and the costly vein treatment that usually follows their development. First of all, make sure you are exercising on a regular basis! Exercise gets your blood flowing, and improved circulation effectively keeps varicose veins at bay. If you’re running, jogging, or engaging in other activities that have you pounding your feet on the ground repeatedly, just make sure that you’re wearing supportive shoes!

It’s also a good idea to avoid standing or being on your feet for long periods of time. People in professions in which they stand a lot, such as teachers or cashiers, are more likely to get varicose veins. Sometimes, though, even if you follow these tips, you will still get varicose veins and find yourself in need of vein treatment. If that happens to you, don’t panic. There are many great places you can go for help, such as Studio Urban Wax in Denver.

What Causes Sun Spots?

Many people are interested in learning about sun spot removal methods, and while there certainly are many ways to go about sun spot removal, it’s much better to avoid getting sun spots or sun damage in the first place! While there are many good procedures out there for reducing sun damage, most only fade sun spots. Sure, you can find some procedures to get rid of them entirely, but these are usually more invasive (and expensive!). You can save yourself the time and money by focusing on caring for your skin properly and avoiding excess exposure to the sun.

As you may have guessed, a sun spot appears after a person has been over-exposed to the sun’s harmful rays. Other effects of too-much-sun include the development of fine lines, wrinkles, and perhaps even certain types of skin cancer! You can seriously reduce your risk of sun spots and other unsightly sun-related skin conditions by wearing sunblock daily, even when the sun isn’t shining or the sky looks overcast!

Laser Resurfacing Options

Laser resurfacing is a hot new trend in beauty treatments right now, one that can be used to produce a variety of desired results. Whether you want to remove fine lines and wrinkles, zap away age spots, or anything in between, chances are that laser resurfacing should work for you. It’s important to understand , however, that there are actually several different types of resurfacing. Each one is different, has different uses, and has different advantages and disadvantages. You should speak to your esthetician about your needs, goals, and concerns in order to determine the best resurfacing option to meet your needs.

One of the most popular types of resurfacing is fractional laser skin resurfacing. With this type of resurfacing, you’re only treating small sections of skin at a time. This is ideal when the area you’re trying to correct is small and/or when you want something with minimal recovery time. Other options to discuss when you visit Studio Urban Wax in Denver include infrared resurfacing, plasma skin resurfacing, and more.
