Tips for Younger Looking Skin

Everyone wants to keep that youthful glow for as long as possible. Unfortunately, however, time doesn’t stop, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stop it from showing on your face! There are many things you can do to keep your skin looking as beautiful and as healthy as it did at 25. Make sure that you use a good moisturizer daily; your skin needs moisture in order to look its best. It’s also imperative that you wear sunscreen daily and that you avoid overexposure to the sun. Nothing ages the skin faster than excessive tanning or unprotected outdoor time.

In addition to these skin care efforts, you should also consider getting a chemical peel in regular increments. Chemical peels are a great way to get rid of dry, dead, older-looking skin to reveal the youthful, vibrant-looking skin underneath. Just make sure that you spread out the chemical peels in reasonable periods of time. Getting them too often can be just as bad for your skin as never getting them at all.

You can get on a good skin care schedule by working with the experts at Studio Urban Wax in Denver.

Get a Gorgeous Tan Without the Risk

Do you want a gorgeous tan? If so, you might be tempted to lie in a tanning bed or to lie out in the sun for hours. While tanning might feel good and make you look good, it’s not actually good for you. In fact, too much time in the sun can actually have some pretty serious consequences. Overexposure to UV radiation can lead to the development of skin cancer, which is the most commonly diagnosed type of cancer in the United States. Why risk getting cancer when you could achieve the same (truly) healthy glow with airbrush tanning?

Skin cancer isn’t the only risk you face when you spend too much time in the sun or tanning bed either. Too much sun-time can lead to premature aging, including fine lines and wrinkles (not attractive!). It can also cause problems with your eyes or vision.

If you still want a tan but don’t want to deal with these risks, then airbrush tanning is for you! Contact Studio Urban Wax, located in Denver, to learn more and to set up your first tanning session.

Lasers or Waxing for Unwanted Hair?

If you have unwanted body hair, you may be considering waxing and/or laser hair removal. While both are good options, it’s important to choose the right one for you. In order to determine which option is best, you need to think about the hair that you wish to remove, whether or not you have had success with a particular type of hair removal in the past, and about your long-term goals for hair removal. If you want a more permanent solution, for example, then laser hair removal is likely for you. While waxing does remove hair, it only does so temporarily. There is some evidence to support that regular waxing can actually reduce the appearance of unwanted hair over time, but laser removal works more quickly and can get rid of hair entirely.

If it’s pain you’re worried about, know that both procedures can be slightly uncomfortable. If they’re performed correctly, however, the discomfort should be minimal. Waxing comes with some pain, but it is over quickly. The use of lasers to remove hair can also be minimally painful, but most people do not find it unbearably so. Both procedures can also produce some redness and swelling, which usually goes away quickly.

To talk about your options and to choose the best one for you, call Studio Urban Wax, located in Denver.

Why Do I Have Hair There?

If you’re a woman and you struggle with unwanted hair on the upper lip, chin, or other areas, you may be wondering why you have this problem. The cause for unwanted hair growth in women often varies from one person to another. Sometimes, you may be growing unwanted hair because you are producing an abundance of male hormones, known as androgens. A doctor can tell you if this is the case and may be able to provide solutions. In the meantime, however, you can easily get rid of unwanted hair via facial waxing.

For other women, the problem is all in the genes! It may not be fair, but if your mother had facial hair or other unwanted hair, chances are that you will too. When genes are to blame, the only thing you can do is deal with the problem. Luckily, facial waxing makes it easy to do just that.

In fact, no matter what the cause of your unwanted hair growth, there are options for hair removal. If you’re in Denver or nearby, contact Studio Urban Wax to learn about your choices for getting rid of undesirable hair.
