More Uses for Lasers

When you think of lasers, you probably think of laser hair removal. And while laser hair removal is certainly popular, it’s definitely not the only laser procedure available. In fact, there are many other commonly used laser procedures. Did you know, for example, the lasers can be used to remove undesired spots or blemishes on the skin? If you’ve got sun spots, age spots, or even undesired freckles, the right laser procedure can blast them away and leave your skin looking smooth and blemish-free.

Lasers are so strong and powerful that they can even be used to remove tattoos, though it might take a few sessions before they’re totally gone. And, on a more serious note, lasers are efficient at getting rid of pre-cancerous lesions, which could potentially stop cancer in its tracks.

These are just a few of the many uses for lasers. If you’re in Denver and you want to further explore laser procedures and what they can do for you, contact Studio Urban Wax.

Lasers or Waxing for Unwanted Hair?

If you have unwanted body hair, you may be considering waxing and/or laser hair removal. While both are good options, it’s important to choose the right one for you. In order to determine which option is best, you need to think about the hair that you wish to remove, whether or not you have had success with a particular type of hair removal in the past, and about your long-term goals for hair removal. If you want a more permanent solution, for example, then laser hair removal is likely for you. While waxing does remove hair, it only does so temporarily. There is some evidence to support that regular waxing can actually reduce the appearance of unwanted hair over time, but laser removal works more quickly and can get rid of hair entirely.

If it’s pain you’re worried about, know that both procedures can be slightly uncomfortable. If they’re performed correctly, however, the discomfort should be minimal. Waxing comes with some pain, but it is over quickly. The use of lasers to remove hair can also be minimally painful, but most people do not find it unbearably so. Both procedures can also produce some redness and swelling, which usually goes away quickly.

To talk about your options and to choose the best one for you, call Studio Urban Wax, located in Denver.
